Crzy Bones / Active Matter / Giga PvP breakdown

ACTIVE MATTER / GIGASTRUCTURE / RAID NOTES

Giga PvP breakdown:
doorways, fire & squad comms.

Two player-fight edits. One very friendly-fire incident. A closer look at what happens when a Giga raid gets crowded.

Giga is what the Bone Crew calls Gigastructure in Active Matter. These clips capture three different pressures on a raid: holding a doorway against a player, reacting to a close-range push, and identifying the person standing right beside you. Watch the short edits first, then use the source timestamps to follow the encounters in context.

The notes below are takeaways from these particular moments. The PvP edits join separate encounters; the cut between them does not represent one uninterrupted fight.

01 / OCTOBER 18

The doorway narrows the fight.

The first edit pairs a burning doorway hold with a later shotgun finish. The doorway gives the first encounter a clear place to watch: the opening the opponent has to use. The later encounter brings the fight much closer.

What to watch: compare the space around the doorway with the distance in the shotgun encounter. A position that gives you time to watch an opening can become a very different problem once the fight closes in.

Try this on your next run: decide which opening you are covering and tell your teammate. Before moving, check where that teammate is going. The useful habit is having an assigned angle and a shared plan for crossing it.

Giga PvP: doorway hold and shotgun finish

Two player firefights on Gigastructure in Active Matter: Crzy Bones holds a burning doorway and follows with a close-range shotgun finish. Edited from the October 18 broadcast, with the source raid recording linked below.

02 / OCTOBER 19

Keep watching the push through fire.

In the next edit, an enemy player pushes through fire. A second encounter ends in another close-range PvP fight. The fire is the dramatic part of the opening, but the player's movement is the part that needs your attention.

What to watch: follow where the opponent appears, then compare it with the second encounter. Both clips put the action close enough that the view can fill with the fight very quickly.

Try this on your next run: keep the likely approach in view while you and your teammate call out what you can actually see. A simple location call gives the other player something useful to react to.

03 / THE CREW IS ALSO IN THE ROOM

“Same team” works better before the shot.

VariableElm shoots Crzy Bones at close range on Giga. The death screen confirms the teamkill; a revival follows. The original comms turn it into a funny clip, but the sequence also makes the identification problem easy to see.

The “Wait… that's my teammate” clip shows a separate near miss: Bones hears someone nearby, prepares for a fight, then recognizes the teammate.

Try this with your squad: say where you are before stepping into a teammate's angle. Use a short location and direction—“I'm beside you,” or “I'm crossing the doorway”—so the other person knows which movement is friendly. Agree on those calls before the raid gets loud.

Teamkill source: October 19 broadcast, 6:40:18–6:40:50. Near miss: 7:25:44–7:26:08.

Bro, same team! VariableElm teamkills me

VariableElm mistakes Crzy Bones for the threat and shoots him at close range on Gigastructure. The death screen confirms the teamkill before a quick revival and an unfiltered reaction. Original footage and squad comms from the October 19 Active Matter broadcast.

TAKE IT INTO THE NEXT RAID

Three calls to make.

  1. “I'm watching this doorway.” Give the squad a clear angle assignment.
  2. “Player pushing through.” Call the movement you can see and where it is happening.
  3. “I'm crossing your angle.” Identify yourself before entering a teammate's view.

Watch the Giga PvP edits again with those decisions in mind, then explore the Nexus round highlights for a different set of fights.
