Crzy Bones / Active Matter / Squad callouts

GIGA / SQUAD COMMS / FROM THE FOOTAGE

Friendly fire on Giga:
call it before the shot.

A practical squad-callout routine built around one confirmed teamkill, a close call and a teammate jumpscare from Crzy Bones’ Active Matter streams.

“Bro, same team” is a great reaction clip. It is a less useful call after the shot has already landed. On Gigastructure—Giga to the Bone Crew—close quarters and overlapping squad movement can leave very little time to identify the person beside you. These moments are a reason to make your own movement easier for teammates to understand.

This is a communication routine to try with your squad, based on the footage below. It is not a claim that a particular game setting, weapon or patch causes friendly fire. The example calls are suggested wording, not a transcript of the recordings.

Three moments, three useful questions

1. The confirmed teamkill

VariableElm shoots Bones at close range. The death screen confirms the teamkill, and a revival follows. Watch the 32-second clip, then ask: did both players know where the other was before the shot? The clip establishes what happened; it does not establish exactly what the teammate believed at that instant.

2. The near miss

In a separate moment, Bones hears someone nearby and prepares to fight, then recognizes his teammate. Watch “Wait… that’s my teammate.” A useful review question is whether a position call before moving could have removed that uncertainty.

3. The teammate jumpscare

Fire fills a doorway, and Bones turns to find his own teammate close by. Watch the jumpscare with the original reaction. The lesson to test is simple: announce a close approach when the other player is focused on a busy opening.

Use identity, position and movement

A useful call tells your teammate who is moving, where to look and what is about to happen. Choose landmarks both of you can recognize. “Over there” only helps if you already share the same view.

Example squad calls to practice
SituationSuggested call
Approaching a teammate“Bones, behind you on your left.”
Crossing a covered opening“Bones crossing your doorway, left to right.”
Holding a separate angle“I’m watching the doorway. You have the other side.”
Uncertain identification“Who’s beside the doorway?” Wait for a clear answer when the situation allows.
Moving after a revival“Back up. Staying beside you until we reset.”

Keep the call short enough to hear during a fight. If you change direction, update it. A correct call from several seconds ago can become misleading once the squad moves. Avoid filling the same moment with several different instructions.

After a mistake, restore a shared picture

The teamkill clip includes a revival. Once the immediate situation permits, use the reset to identify who is standing where, who is watching the approach and who is moving next. Assigning an angle is only useful while everyone knows whether it is still covered.

For the video review, separate the funny reaction from the practical question. Ask what information was missing before the mistake, then choose one call to practice on the next raid. That gives the squad something specific to improve without turning the replay into an argument about blame.

A quick checklist before the next Giga run

  1. Agree on names and a few shared landmarks.
  2. Say which opening you are watching.
  3. Announce a crossing before entering a teammate’s angle.
  4. Update the call when your position changes.
  5. After a revival or regroup, say where you are and what you are covering.

Try the routine, then review the next recording: was the movement announced, was the call understandable, and did anyone acknowledge it? A single clip cannot prove that a routine prevents every mistake. It can give you a concrete moment to learn from.
